Naruto 523 Predictions | Naruto 523 Manga | Naruto 523 Spoiler
naruto will have to battle killer bee during the trainning as a practice drill. kabuto is going to look for a way in to summuning the souls that have being trap via other jutsu such as the kages. the Alliance will have it theirs way until Maddara, arrives at the battle field.
kakashi will probably have to send zabusa and the others in to another dimension. naruto will not be able to transform in to the actual kyubbi, until he battles sasuske where the kyubbis’ life will be at risk and he won’t have a choice but to acknoledge that their life is link.
Also it will be a way for the kyubbi to finally get some fressh air. : ) my prdictions soon I’ll post an actual predictive dialogue happy new year.
i know this is 523 predictions but i thought i should throw this out, seeing that it could be a possibility. Well to make things simple, i think Naruto is going to awaken the rinnengan. Nagato, being a descendant of the Uzumaki clan who are closely related to the Senju clan they inheireted the sage of six paths body and the Uchiha clan inheireted the eyes. Well, Madara said he gave the rinnengan to Nagato which could be interpreted as giving him the sage’s eye powers thus making Nagato have the body and eyes of the Sage of six path which gives him the Rinnengan. And somewhere along the line Naruto was caught in a genjutsu by fellow Konoha serial killer Itachi Uchiha and in the Genjutsu he told Naruto “Here is some of my power if you ever need it” (or something along those lines) which could be what Madara did for Nagato. Of course, to awaken the Rinnengan you would have to suffer some sort of pain and since nobody has died thats close to Naruto his rinnengan is still unawakened.
So, if my theory is correct than I think Naruto will lose a friend. Hopefully Sakura. I mean 523 mangas and she is still as useless as she was in the beginning.

Released, Plus New 'Naruto' Xbox
After the success of the original Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom, Cartoon Network has picked up and developed its English version. It aired a few days ago on the channel's Action Flicks block, much to the delight of fans. The second theatrical production, Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel, had just premiered last July. It became a pleasant surprise to see the third movie following closely in the footsteps of its predecessor.
Last Tuesday, the DVD version of Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon was shipped to North America as well. The film continues the tale of the protagonist, Naruto, and his fellow ninjas, Kakashi, Sakura and Rock Lee. Assigned to protect the Land of the Moon's prince, the group goes on a quest that will change their fate in the hands of royalty.
Other exciting news for Naruto fans is the launching of Naruto: The Broken Bond, a new adventure game which dives deeper into the universe of the shinobi. Below is the actual product description from the folks at IGN:
“Building on the success of NARUTO: Rise of a Ninja, this new action adventure takes the story to a deeper level within the NARUTO universe. Forced to relive bitter memories, Naruto's best friend Sasuke strikes out on a self-destructive quest for power. Now with the help of his friends, Naruto must confront Sasuke and save him before it's too late.”
Beginning with a gripping battle in the now-chaotic Leaf village, Naruto: The Broken Bond has a list of features that will captivate any gamer. According to IGN, players can take on the role of Sasuke, in addition to playing as Naruto. There's also an option for tag-team battles, wherein players can team up with multiple characters from the series.

Hatake Kakashi of naruto
Hatake Kakashi (Kakashi Hatake in the English anime) is a character in the anime and manga Naruto. The surname "Hatake" means "farmland" and "Kakashi" means "a scarecrow".
Copy Ninja Kakashi
Kakashi is the Konohagakure Jounin assigned in the beginning of the manga and anime to train and look after Team 7, including Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura. He is also known as Copy Ninja Kakashi (Kopī Ninja no Kakashi) or Kakashi of the Sharingan (Sharingan no Kakashi).
These aliases refer to the fact he copied more than a thousand jutsu (ninja techniques) using his left eye, which possesses the Sharingan, an advanced bloodline trait found only in some members of the nearly defunct Uchiha clan. The three comma-like marks aligned in a wheel in the pupil of his left Sharingan-activated eye indicate that it is fully developed for a normal Sharingan, with only one more level -- Mangekyō Sharingan. However, he is not a real Uchiha, and in fact receives the Sharingan eye from a dying Uchiha Obito, his teammate, during his first mission as a Jōnin. During that mission, Kakashi injured his left eye in a battle trying to protect Obito, leaving behind the scar (which has nothing to do with the transplant operation). The scar comes from a slash that destroyed his original eye. Recently, in chapter 277 of the manga, it was revealed that Kakashi evolved his Sharingan to the Mangekyou...with a twist. His Mangekyou Sharingan can distort time and space...the full extent of its abilities have not been revealed yet.
His history
Chronically tardy, Kakashi initially appears to be flaky and unreliable. He is, however, an exceptionally skillful ninja, a child prodigy who attained Chuunin rank at the age of 6 and became a Jounin at age 13. His father was Hatake Sakumo, known as the "White Fang" of Konoha (Konoha no Shiroi Kiba) and a genius ninja on par with the Legendary Sannin (famous students of the Sandaime Hokage : Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade).
Kakashi Gaiden (sidestory), which began with chapter 239, entitled Gaiden 1: Mission Start...!, introduces the other two members of Kakashi's Genin team, shown in a team portrait in the conclusion of the Chuunin exam arc of the manga. The sensei or teacher in charge of Kakashi's team was the Fourth Hokage, while his teammates were Rin, a girl trained as a medic ninja, and Uchiha Obito, Kakashi's teammate who wears goggles in the team portrait from flashbacks at the conclusion of the Chuunin Exam arc. The gaiden begins on the eve of Kakashi's promotion to Jounin and team leader and the beginning of a mission to the battlefront in the middle of a conflict between Iwagakure (Hidden Rock) and the Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf).
Obito, mentioned by Kakashi several times earlier in the series, is revealed to be a member of the Uchiha clan. But, unlike other noteworthy Uchiha including Sasuke and Itachi, Obito initially appears to be like Naruto in behavior, personality and ninja ability, while Kakashi is the acknowledged genius and leader of the group. Obito initially appears without the Sharingan ability. He manages to awaken the Sharingan in battle in chapter 242.
The gaiden also explains the origin of the scar on Kakashi's left eye. In the earlier arcs, it was believed that Kakashi's left eye scar came from the surgical implantation of the Sharingan eye. However, in chapter 242 of the Naruto manga, entitled Gaiden Chapter 4: Crybaby Ninja, the scar on Kakashi's left eye appears now to have come from a battle with a Rock ninja. Kakashi detects a Rock ninja, and yells his warning at his teammate, Uchiha Obito, who is too slow to react. Kakashi jumps in front of Obito to save him from the enemy's kunai and thus Kakashi's left eye is slashed to form the scar that Kakashi still has today, blinding him in the left side.
In chapter 243, named Present, the mission to rescue Rin from the Rock ninja continues. When Obito throws Kakashi out of the way of a falling rock, caused by a Iwa ninja's Doton: Iwayado Kuzushi (Earth Release: Rock Lodging Destruction), his entire right side is crushed from that falling rock. Mortally wounded, he offers Kakashi his Sharingan-capable, intact left eye as a belated promotion present and final gift to Kakashi. Rin successfully transplants Obito's left eye, replacing Kakashi's useless left eye. Obito's Sharingan eye only has two tomoe, suggesting that Kakashi succeeds in fully evolving the eye to its third stage at a latter time.

Madara Uchiha
Before the era of ninja villages, Madara was the most gifted member of the Uchiha clan. Even by his clan's standards, Madara's chakra was unusually strong. He grew up in constant competition with his younger brother, Izuna Uchiha. In their efforts to surpass the other, each gained their own Mangekyō Sharingan. With the power of the Mangekyō the two brothers took control of the clan, with Madara acting as its leader. Under his leadership, the clan conquered all they came across. Because of the never-ending series of battles of the time, Madara eventually began to suffer from overuse of the Mangekyō Sharingan, leaving him blind. In order to regain his sight he took Izuna's eyes for himself, granting him an "eternal" Mangekyō Sharingan with which he led the Uchiha to prosperity. Madara insists Izuna consented to the act.
Over the years, the Uchiha had constantly fought with the equally powerful Senju clan. To bring an end to the constant fighting, the leader of the Senju, Hashirama Senju, approached the Uchiha with an offer of peace. Although Madara never wanted peace with the Senju, the rest of the Uchiha wished to end the fighting, and Madara had no choice but to accept. The Senju, the Uchiha, and all the clans they had conquered came together to form the village of Konohagakure. Against Madara's wishes, the villagers selected Hashirama as the village's first Hokage. Madara feared that Hashirama would oppress the Uchiha, and tried to rally support for challenging his leadership. Rather than help him, however, the Uchiha turned their backs on him, believing he only desired more power. Abandoned by his clan, Madara left the village, later returning in order to challenge Hashirama in battle. They fought at the site that would someday be called the Valley of the End, where Madara used the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox against Hashirama. Control of the Nine-Tails was ultimately taken from him and Madara was believed to have died.[5] Despite appearing to have been defeated and gravely weakened, he was somehow able to acquire a sample of Hashirama Senju's DNA to aid him in his future goals.

The History Of Naruto Uzumaki
The founding of the naruto shippuden print cartoons was by writer Kishimoto, Masashi. To produce extraordinary and unrivaled characters Masashi had to learn inspiration from other shonen japanese comics for young adults. In makingnaruto shippuden, Naruto and his fellow ninjas, Masashi gained untold inspiration from the Dragonball series, which was produced by Akira Toriyama. If you ever watched Dragonball and naruto shippuden movies and television series, you will observe some of the greatest anime and character design, japan has to offer.
n the original naruto episodes, when you see Naruto savoring his free time by ordering a hot bowl of ramen(Japanese noodles) or in battle supporting his allies and friends. Or even expressing resolute courageousness like sometimes running into a fight without clearly thinking about the complications, this indicates he ordinarily thinks with his gentle, caring and sometimes disillusioned heart. When you think of Naruto, elaborate words come to mind in depicting him including hyperactive, overprotective, spontaneous and easily distracted. He is not a brainy pupil as he didn’t pass the ninja examination 2 times before at last passing it.
Shadow Jutsu Clones are the best enjoyed technique of Naruto and he often applies it a lot. The chakra flow of Naruto allows for him the power of producing hundreds if not thousands of jutsu clones. Naruto is not a very brainy person and sometimes needs jutsu lessons being taught to him, oversimplified a great deal for him to understand the most simplistic of constructs. So he generally relies on his outstandingly high visible chakra power to get him through life as a ninja. Naruto bears so much internal chakra because of the nine tailed chakra demon, that he has inhuman levels of toughness which is very helpful during prolonged ninja conflicts.
Kishimoto, Masashi the naruto shippuden series originator penned a new manga series that’s upcoming in TV format listed as the brand-new naruto episodes acquirable at present in DVD and VCD. Naruto’s brand-new power of controlling wind is why the new title is named Shippuden, which signifies whirlwind or hurricane. As Sasuke exits the village of Konohagakure, the event marks the starting of the new naruto shippuden series, which happens about 2-1/2 years after the aftermath of the original series. As Naruto is maturating into a young adult, he has matured both in his jutsu skills and chakra manipulation. This works out to be so, after the groundbreaking naruto episodes and during the naruto shippuden episodes, where Jiraiya one of the most high-ranking and proficient ninjas in Konohagakure trained Naruto to be a virile sage(manipulator of nature’s chakra) ninja. As Sasuke(previous Team 7 ninja) had fallen from grace, its up to his friend Naruto to salvage his soul but this task is starting to be a frustrating one and will need a vast degree of achievement that Naruto has yet to . In combination with the looming threat of the organization called “The Akatsuki”. This fiendish organization has merely one purpose and thats to collect all 9 Kyuubi (tailed demons) from the 9 Jinchuriki(human hosts with a tailed devil hidden inside him or her) by jutsu but this normally leads to the death of the Jinchuriki. Naruto and his comrades from Konohagakure are invariably in perpetual fights with these outlaw ninjas.

After Pain's invasion on the Leaf that was foiled by the Leaf's Hero Naruto Uzumaki, the villagers, with the help of outside allies such as the Cloud Village and the Land of Waves, are rebuilding the village after Pain destroyed it. While they are restoring their shattered homes some characters look back on their past experiences with the Leaf Village and especially with the Leaf's Hero. Although the worst seems over its only begun as Danzo is appointed the new Hokage of the Leaf Village, Sasuke and Team Taka are heading to the Leaf, and the Akatsuki are plotting their next move. Naruto, his friends, and the people of the Leaf peace wont last forever.
Anyway the main point of all of this is that these fillers will end soon. You see the flashback fillers are going in Chronological order of past events from the original Naruto.
The Iruka filler was when Naruto and co. were all still little kids in the Ninja Academy.
The Kakashi filler was when Naruto and his classmates graduated from the academy and the senseis was appointed to their respective squads.
The Inari filler took place after Team 7's mission to the Land of Waves and after they defeated Zabuza and Haku and got rid of Gato.
That swordsman filler was after Team 7 came from their mission at the Land of Waves but before they entered the Chunin Exams.
The Gaara filler was after the Sand's and Sound's invasion on the Leaf.
The Naruto Outbreak filler was after Tsunade became Hokage.
The Tenten, Condor, and Rock Lee filler was before Sasuke left the village.
The Jiraiya and Naruto filler was after Sasuke left the village and Naruto went off to train with Jiraiya.
So when the fillers reach the Shippuden era they will be over...so I say about 4-5 more filler episodes since they past the part that ended Part 1 in the manga.

Konoha History Arc of naruto
After Naruto defeated Pain, Iruka, along with Suzume and Daikoku Funeno approach the ruins of the Ninja Academy to salvage things for class. They split up and Iruka sees the destroyed academy, remembering his first teaching days. The Third Hokage appoints Iruka to be Naruto's teacher. At first he refuses but then accepts. The next day, Naruto pulls a prank on Iruka but instead of scolding him, Iruka tells Naruto sit in his seat, remembering the advice given to him from Daikoku. When seeing Naruto being bullied by the other students because of his failed attempts to be better than Sasuke, Iruka tells them not to bother a kid like him. The next day, Naruto learns that Sasuke is the only surviving member of the Uchiha clan.
After class, Naruto wants to join Hibachi and his friends in their "test of courage" though Hibachi tells him to not follow them. Naruto pranks them later in the night by dressing up as a fox demon. Hearing them say they saw a fox demon, Iruka runs to the Konoha grave site and learns it's Naruto. Naruto sees Iruka giving him the look everyone in the village gives him and runs away, never wanting to return to the Academy again. The day after, Iruka notices Naruto is absent in class. After being denied to be seen by the Third Hokage, Iruka sits in the park where he meets Kakashi and discusses his issues of being Naruto's teacher. Kakashi remembers when after his mission with him, Iruka decides to become an instructor at the Academy to pass the Will of Fire to the next generation.
Hibachi and his friends decide to let Naruto in their group if he would do their test of courage. Hibachi was told by his father that in the hills, there are corpses left by enemy ninja. Naruto agrees to get an item from a corpse in the hills. Hibachi tells his friends that there are still enemy ninja in the hills after Naruto left. When Iruka sees that Naruto is absent in class, Hibachi says he hasn't seen him, but Shikamaru Nara, having heard of his trick, tells Iruka who runs out the classroom to find Naruto. Remembering Suzume telling him of the enemy ninja, Iruka tries to find Naruto before the enemy ninja find him. Elsewhere, Kakashi hears from Shikamaru and Chōji that Iruka went to look for Naruto in the hills.
Iruka finds Naruto and tries to get him to go back to the Academy but Naruto refuses and tells him that he doesn't understand him. Naruto gets away from Iruka by using the Sexy Technique and finds a kunai with a paper on it. Three enemy ninja approach Naruto, demanding that he gives them the kunai but he refuses, having them resort to get it by force. Naruto tries to surprise them with the Sexy Technique but it has no effect on the ninja as they are women. Naruto escapes from them and runs into Iruka who tries to escape the kunoichi while at the same time protect Naruto. Both of them are saved by the arrival of Kakashi who easily defeats the kunoichi.
Iruka gives the Third Hokage the paper that was hidden on the kunai that Naruto found. Iruka then thanks the Third for making him Naruto's teacher which made him remember why he became a teacher. After class, Iruka tells Naruto from then on, he will be upfront with him. Iruka tells Naruto of the Will of Fire which makes the Third Hokage strong and protect everyone. Naruto decides that he will become Hokage someday so everyone would respect and look up to him and Iruka's flashback ends.

Five Kage Summit Arc
Gaara is the first Kage to arrive in the Land of Iron. When the other Kage arrive and the meeting starts, Gaara is the first to speak. He indicates that, because he was captured by Akatsuki and died while the Shukaku was removed from his body, being revived later on, he considers the organisation very dangerous. He adds that he had previously requested collaboration between the villages against Akatsuki, but that only Tsunade of Konoha responded. Gaara is repeatedly interrupted by the other Kage for the rest of the meeting and his input is dismissed because of his young age. Only the Fifth Mizukage was willing to listen to Gaara; even at one point defending him from Third Tsuchikage's disrespectful behaviour.
When Sasuke is revealed to have infiltrated the meeting and the Raikage goes to fight him, Ōnoki offered to give him tips on how to be a good Kage, having previously dismissed Gaara's suggestions on the basis that he was too young. Gaara voices his concern with the others' lack of ethics and says that a world without faith and understanding would be a world with only fear. Gaara, Kankurō, and Temari then leave to join the Raikage's battle with Sasuke. When they arrive, Gaara uses his sand to stop Sasuke and the Raikage from attacking each other, demonstrating that despite the loss of Shukaku, Gaara's sand manipulation powers were still strong and is even more powerful than before to be able to block the Raikage with his Lightning armour on.
While the Raikage recuperates, Gaara tries to convince Sasuke to stop living in the darkness, citing past experience by saying no good will come of it. Sasuke could not be convinced so, with a tear in his eye, Gaara attacks Sasuke with his Sand Shield which Sasuke comments to be extremely swift and hard enough to penetrate Susanoo's ribs which causes Sasuke to rely on his Blaze release as a more defensive measure. Sasuke also attacks Gaara with Amaterasu, which seems too slow and ineffective against the automatic Sand Shield. After showing an equal match, Darui joins with Gaara, Kankuro and Temari to form a combined attack at Sasuke.

gaara sand control
As the host of Shukaku, Gaara possesses the ability to manipulate sand, typically moving it through the air to serve various purposes. The amount of sand he can control at one time is immense: in Part II he is able to gather enough sand to shield the entire village of Sunagakure from Deidara's explosives, albeit at great physical exertion. If sand is lacking in abundance, Gaara can break down the earth minerals in the ground to create more sand. While he can control any dry sand, ordinary sand requires more chakra to manipulate, tiring him at a rapid rate. As a result, Gaara keeps his own chakra-infused sand with him at all times, in a calabash gourd also made out of sand on his back. Because this sand is already infused with his chakra, Gaara has a great deal more control over it, enabling stronger and faster attacks with it.
During battle, Gaara rarely moves, attacking with his sand from a single location, and rarely using taijutsu. When first introduced, his basic means of attacks is to first use Desert Coffin to capture, immobilize, and potentially suffocate an opponent with sand. Once the opponent is subdued, he uses Desert Funeral to cause the sand to crush the opponent with varying intensities. Though he comes up with other means of attack throughout the series, the "catch and crush" tactic remains at the center of his fighting style. Gaara attempted to use it four times on Kimimaro but Kimimaro's sturdy bone structure makes him a frustrating target.
As the second element of his stationary combat style, Gaara has a number of sand-based defences to be used in case an opponent gets too close. His primary defence is his Shield of Sand, an automatic sand shield that surrounds and protects him from damage whether he wants it to or not. Gaara can control the shield to some degree, strengthening it to steel-like quality or calling upon it to completely encase himself. While an effective defence, the shield can be overcome with high speed attacks, or simply be broken through with incredibly forceful strikes. Should this happen, Gaara has a layer of sand covering his body called the Armour of Sand. Although it's a useful secondary defence, the armour requires large amounts of chakra to remain active, and also has the side-effect of weighing Gaara down.

Gaara personality
Gaara is the son of the Fourth Kazekage, and the younger brother of Temari and Kankurō. Before Gaara's birth, his father ordered Chiyo to seal the One-Tailed Shukaku within him, in hopes that Gaara would become the ultimate weapon for Sunagakure. Because a human sacrifice was needed, Gaara's mother, Karura, was used. Before she died, she cursed Sunagakure, hoping Gaara would avenge her death. Gaara was trained by his father, but raised mainly by his maternal uncle, Yashamaru.
Because of the power of Shukaku, the villagers of Suna hated and feared Gaara. Seeing him only for the monster sealed within him, for a time, Yashamaru seemed to be the only person who cared about Gaara. When Gaara would mistakenly harm others due to the subconscious abilities granted to him by Shukaku, Yashamaru would be the only one who understood that Gaara hadn't intended to harm anyone. Gaara's father, however, did not see Gaara in the same light, and viewed Gaara's frequent attacks upon villagers as a result of a failed experiment that was a threat to Suna.
Because of the danger Gaara imposed, his father began sending assassins to kill him, though when all attempts were met with failure, the Kazekage requested Yashamaru to kill Gaara. As a result, Yashamaru tried to assassinate Gaara, only to fail just as those before him. Gaara dealt a lethal blow to him. But when Gaara realized that it was Yashamaru, he was horrified, and screamed, before bursting into tears. Although Gaara tried to dismiss Yashamaru's attack as an order of the Kazekage, Yashamaru corrected him, by saying that he had willingly accepted the mission. Having never truly loved Gaara, Yashamaru hoped that killing Gaara would avenge the death of his sister, who had named Gaara after the phrase "a self-loving carnage" (我を愛する修羅, Ware wo ai suru shura), a sign of her intense hatred for Suna, not as love for her son. In the last ditch effort to kill Gaara, Yashamaru detonated a number of exploding tags covering his body, asking Gaara to "please die". Using his sand, Gaara survived the blast, and lost the only person he thought had cared for him. Gaara then used his sand to etch the kanji for love (愛, ai) onto his forehead, indicating his first actual injury. Since this incident, Gaara became an aloof and cruel person who would kill anyone to prove his existence and to obtain recognition from the village, all the while forfeiting his desire for friendship.

Naruto Uzumaki
As stated by Jiraiya, Naruto bears a striking resemblance to his father, possessing Minato's blue eyes and spiky, blond hair. From his mother, Naruto inherited the shape of both his eyes and face. However, Naruto's greatest physical characteristic is his whisker marks, passed on from the demon imprisoned within his mother at the time of his birth. A trait regularly mentioned, that easily angered him, was his short stature for his age. During Part I, he was one of the shortest in his graduating class, second only to Hinata Hyūga. After the time skip, he had a significant growth spurt that was noticeable to all, dwarfing the kunoichi in his age group.
In Part I, Naruto's outfit consisted of a orange jumpsuit with blue on the upper shoulders area as well as up and down the front, a white swirl with a tassel on the left side, a red swirl on the back, a big white collar, orange pants, blue sandals, and a blue forehead protector that was given to him by Iruka after he graduated from the Ninja Academy. In Part II, Naruto's outfit undergoes modification after being worn to shreds during his training with Jiraiya.[6] The outfit retains the orange colour as well as the white (without the tassel) and red swirls, but the jacket is much more form fitting with the blue parts changed to black and the colour extending from the upper shoulders area to the sleeves. The forehead protector has also changed with Naruto moving the metal portion to a new longer black bandanna and he wears black sandals instead of blue. During his battle with Pain, Naruto briefly sported a red coat that combined his master and father's before him with a black flaming design at the bottom as well as a large summoning scroll on his back.

CLEAN-FREAK FULLY EQUIPPED
Man, someone needs to stop Tokyopop before they corner the market on ornery yet lovable lead characters! Clean-Freak introduces yet another personality-disordered protagonist—this time an obsessive-compulsive germaphobe—and somehow manages to sculpt him into an endearing, soft-hearted fellow. At first, the reader's perception of Senda matches that of his classmates, seeing him as a sterile-suited nutcase who avoids others. But subtly, oh so subtly, Senda's personality warms up as he meets those who are willing to give him a chance. In the end, it's those interactions—with eternally optimistic Anna, neurotic and hyperactive Yui, scheming temptress Yumeno, even the kid who's in charge of the school animals—that shape Senda's character and give the whole series an aura of warmth and friendship. Of course, the sense of humor doesn't hurt either, with Senda's arsenal being a whimsical reminder of Japan's incredibly advanced hygiene techniques. And the storyline achieves just the right balance by sprinkling in a few moments of tenderness: Senda and Anna's long-distance letters to each other, his dauntless effort to save the school rabbit, and the obligatory adorable childhood flashback. As a quirky chronicle of youth this series is indeed fully equipped.
That thrilling, brilliant game between the big boys and the underdogs? It's only about half the book. The rest of it is, sad to say, slice-of-life filler material—not terrible by any means, but still just placeholder chapters to keep folks interested during the offseason. Ko's growth as a baseball star and as a young man is put on hold in favor of silly asides like shortstop Senda learning the meaning of friendship, or the glamour-girl team manager trying out for a movie role, or Aoba getting the best of her male admirers when she makes plans for a rather unorthodox "date." Adachi even pads out a couple of early chapters with some swimming pool-related fanservice, which probably would have been all right if it weren't for the fact that everyone knows he's better than that. At least there's still a sprinkling of humor to stop these episodes from falling completely flat, but even that has a way of backfiring on itself with a lot of awkward, self-referential fourth-wall material ("The narrator is embarrassing! And he doesn't submit his chapters on time"). Come on, when do they start playing real games again?

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood BLURAY Part 4
Events in the North come to a head when Ed's group and Kimblee finally clash, but before the final blow can fall Kimblee gets new orders: carve the crest of blood at Briggs. The nationwide transmutation circle is almost complete and the new turn of events soon has "Father"'s staunchest opponents, Ed and Al, separated. With every soldier in Amestris on their tails, the two, along with a few unlikely allies, must make their separate ways to Central and to the heart of the evil that threatens their nation. They're not alone. Olivier Armstrong and Roy Mustang both have plans for Amestris's capital, and neither plan is particularly beneficial to the powers that be, King Bradley and Father included. The coup is on, and Central will burn.
If you want a demonstration of what a shonen adventure is like when it's done exactly right, you can't go wrong with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Especially now. It has always, at least since its somewhat rushed opening episodes, been a funny, exciting, occasionally wrenching action series of epic scope and deceptive depth. But it's here during the opening strains of its nearly twenty-episode climax that it opens the throttle all the way and really comes into its own.
Of course, this being the show's penultimate set, it isn't all climactic acceleration. There's a good deal of maneuvering to be done and secrets to be revealed before the show can wind up for its final blow-out. It's in this period that we finally learn Hohenheim's past, and Father's. That Ed and Al go their separate ways, create their separate alliances, and demonstrate their separate strengths. That Dr. Marcoh settles his score with Envy, and Greed breaks with his homunculi brethren. That the boys reconcile with their father and make their final preparations for the Promised Day. There's humor along the way (most memorably during Ed and Winry's ill-timed reunion), and intrigue, and poignancy (most strongly in Al's return to Liore). Brotherhood navigates this all with the same loose-jointed ease with which it has navigated nearly all of its many plot turns and mood shifts, plunking us almost carelessly down right on the brink of the siege of Central.
